   WHAT IS BIKRAM YOGA ???

Bikram yoga is a demanding series of 26 postures (asanas) that work the entire body for 90 minutes. The class is conducted in a heated room to allow for maximum benefits and avoid injury. Furthermore, internal organs and glands are gently massaged and the heated room ensures that participants will sweat helping them to flush toxins out of their system. By the end of this 90 minutes, you will have worked every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, internal organ and gland, while systematically moving fresh, oxygenated blood throughout your entire body, restoring all systems to optimal health.

Physically, Bikram yoga is the perfect marriage of strength, flexibility, and balance. Mentally, Bikram yoga trains the mind in 5 ways: to have faith in yourself, to learn self-control, to gain determination, to improve concentration, and to build patience. In time, you'll learn to focus your mind and control your breath, allowing you to work harder, deeper, and calmer. With each class you will better learn the true meaning of Bikram yoga: a union of the body, mind, and spirit. To truly understand the magic of Bikram yoga you must experience it yourself first-hand.

The Bikram series is designed for all levels, first time students and experienced practitioners alike. The magic of the class is that everyone is practicing the same posture at different levels and abilities and there is an exact position for everyone at every level, which the certified trained instructor will help you to find.
